Fun Fun Fun without the sun....

Hey all
Well summer is here. I hope everyone is keeping cool. I sure am trying. I have self proclaimed I am a fraudulent Hawaii local. I can't stand the heat here. I live very comfortable in weather about 70 degrees or lower. My place I try to keep in the low 60's or below." friends that come over always complain how cold it is. I always need to turn up the thermostat when they come over. When I am out I could really melt like a snow cone on 98 degree pavement. The only heat I can stand is either biking, gym, or if I am in any water element. When I dive I like the water to be frigid to feel comfortable. My body went through a drastic change when I lived in northern Japan about 14 years ago. Their winters/spring near the ocean can go as low as -12 degrees. I can only imagine what type of cold the Russians can handle props to why they pop vodka like water.
So for living here is awesome but since my body went whacked I sort of have an issue with the heat. "thank goodness for air conditioning......"

One random thing I miss is experiencing is snow flurries come down in the moonlight. I thought that was one awesome moment I experienced when I lived in Japan that I sure missed. Drink some ice cold Mugicha when you do this it is the most relaxing feeling I have felt in my lifetime. Mixing 12 degree night wind with snow flurries and sipping some of the most refreshing iced drink in my opinion. Thinking about it is like an euphoria for me......

Well I got my restock on Gundam 00 kits, Macross Frontier model kits, The most thing everyone was asking for was I got all sorts of Bandai Gundam/Macross Stand back in stock. I want to tell everyone who's been patronizing our June sale is I have to say thank you! and I hope you folks are all enjoying it! Well the sale still goes on until the end of the month. hope you can make it to the shop!

All you anime fans if your free on July 3rd, 2009 and your over 18yrs old. If you also liked the hip hop beats of the anime Samurai Champloo. Check out in Waikiki at the Lotus sound bar Sponsored by SIQ Records.
The Japan Hip hop sensation SHINGO2 He is the artist who did the opening theme song for Samurai Champloo "Battle Cry" Also opening acts include Meiso, Amen, Ill Hill Society, and Lionz of Zion. Check out the main page for more info on this awesome event.

On the topic of music I have to say I am on this kick of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart right now. "Yeah you all heard right classical music" I even play it in the shop at the moment. I listen from Heavy Metal all the way to Fusion Jazz. Even the music soundtrack from the new Transformers Revenge of the fallen is pretty good. Terminator Salvation the soundtrack is pretty good. I awesome props to Danny Elfman. He has really changed his type of music style alot and has created a new type of distinct style of himself. I sure enjoy it!

Hey to all going to see Transformers on opening night have fun. I am going to wait a while I will probably jump and see it with friends in Imax though. Yeah yeah...I know your thinking I am not a hardcore fan to see it on opening night...... But funny alot of people claimed to had seen me third in line at all the premiere's of Star Wars?????? WTF..... I can't stand Star Wars....... Oh well.......

Shout out WUSSUP! to Gini! Thanks for the awesome dinner this past Friday! I really enjoyed myself and had some good laughs with you! Hope we can hang again soon!
Until next time peace! Sean

Back with a vengance

Hey all back with a vengeance.
First of all to all you haters of me and my business F&$K YOU ALL! These type of people has never helped or never will help my establishment and you are nothing to me now with my new mind set. These folks have no idea in their pea brain really how hard to run a business. I say this cause you make it hard and bad for the real customers and friends of Mechahawaii. So got nothing nice to say or do don’t bother coming by and don’t expect me to give you a reaction now. Wanted to say that…….

I had a few weeks of pardon my French…… weeks full of $#IT. I went through personal losses in my life. A near broken foot, fought some demons in a bottle, Dealing with this crud economy, Dealing with individuals that give mixed false messages, and health. With this total combination I say sarcastically I have had some peachy times for the past several weeks. I can’t believe I fell into a slump and I actually started blaming myself for my actions but I now have to say it’s not just my fault but of others too…….. I know these individuals can’t deny it. I have fought on to be more positive. Not let these kinds of people & things hit me down. I now know that I got truly great friends behind me. Still most importantly a loving family behind me. I also got rejuvenated with new positive energy to grab my life by the balls and run hard.

Well lately since I started getting a lot of home time to myself now. I stepped back into the hobby of Lego building. I have a friend named Matt who builds the most KICK ASS Customs of Lego bricks in my opinion. He inspired me to create a project of building a Lego Transformers Revenge of the fallen Devastator. It’s not easy with an older mind set and my first pre builds looks like crud…. But I am working out the kinks.

Well also been up keeping my biking with my best friend’s sister Laura. Thanks for the great rides and the motivation to keep on going! Ah, I finally stepped backed into a movie theater recently. The last was 2 years ago with an Ex to see Transformers back in 07. My sis and I caught the Movie Terminator Salvation. I have to say the movie was great! Definitely worth the movie admission and the Blue ray DVD when it comes out. I have heard so much mixed bag things about it from customers. But in my opinion this movie was great.

Hey all check out Kamuki Grill in the former Momotaro Sushi restaurant spot. They sell some of the most Kick ass food in the area right now! Mechahawaii recommends their Onion Rings as a side. These are oh so rockin damn good! Kalua Pig Nachos and the Kalua Pig Quesidilla are rockin damn good! They have a comfortable local style spot for drinks and chill out such as karaoke and watching tv. The owners are some of the nicest people I have met. Give them a call at 732-2292 for more information!

Ah going from topic to topic. Also check out a page Jibunrashiku on my blog. In my opinion some of the most amazing figure customs from this individual. She makes them from all kinds of Trading figures and gashapon. Pure skill and talent in my opinion!
Well some of you at the shop has asked why I wear a crystal on me now. The crystal gives me metaphysical strength for my mind and body and I am a believer that it does work. It sure has helped me in my bad times recently. So I have to shout out a big thanks to one of the owners of Prosperity Corner. Thank you D.J. for the recommendation and I recommend anyone to check them out. They are also my neighbors right on the second floor!

Well enough of crazy ranting from me. I just wanted to let everyone I am back as a different persona. I am waging war on life and it is oh so positively rocking now! Till next time! Cheers Sean

Not the greatest things said.

Hey all hope everyone is doing well. Not a whole lot of new products on the way at the moment we do get stuff every week, but it’s not that extravagant IMO. To all in these times we appreciate any business from everyone Mahalo! Also be on the lookout on the website for the date and times due to I have a few liquidation sales on select items coming in the month of June so stay frosty. But hey none the less the business is still moving on even through these tough times.

On a happy note I want to shout out to my kid sis Gini. Congrats on your graduation from college. Thank you Gini for being that positive note in part of my life and telling me all these pos proverbs! You Rock! It helps the negative me move on in life! Also her father Dennis happy Yakudoshi! Thank you Dennis for being that good friend to talk to for over 12 years already! Hope to talk story many more years to come with you! I am o so proud and honored to have seen your daughters grow up and become the women they are today!

Well other uninteresting things now.
I myself have seen better days. April/May has been tough on my mind lately. I lost 2 family members and another close friend. This really stinks going to more funerals than formal happy occasions within the last 2 months. I feel at this moment I put myself in a well….. Look at it this way a bad atmosphere with some cherished people either angry or gone in my life now. I’d rather not explain myself right now. I just know now in me. I am writing on/going on borrowed time with my own life. I started to reflect on an A hole I have been to people in my personal life and business life. I know for a fact I have hurt people who were close and dear to me before and I wish I could just undo all the bad things I have done past & present. Due to my irrefutable actions and bad perseverance. I want to write is I apologize to everyone who I have hurt in my life past and present, I hope you know who you are can find it in your heart to forgive me. I know I may never get it or I am not looking for salvation already, But I say these things due to I now know what it feels like to be all alone and nowhere or no one to turn to. I have always fought many things alone in my life. I always took for granted the people who cared and wanted to help me in my life and now since I have no more of it feels like a dark void in my life. Well everyone I hope you can read this and learn from my mistakes. Learn to respect one another and cherish one another. These are the smallest things I think all of us as people living in these times tend to forget or take for granted. I know for a fact I sure did. I hope everyone who reads this can understand this. I apologize for writing such a somber note but I felt I needed to get this off my chest and heart.
Well hope to write next time on a more positive note. Adios.

Got to shout out thanks to some!

Hey all!

AHH another summer is around the corner. I am looking forward into Mountain Biking & Free Diving every free chance I get for this long hot summer! But not before the biz work is finished. I am thankful for still being around as the business I call Mechahawaii. I can’t believe it was 5 and a half years ago when I first opened my retail doors. Currently It has become a 3 fold effort to think of new strategies and new retail products in this form of economy we are in. I also still have to say is thank you to all who continues to patronize my establishment. I appreciate any sales from each and every one of you folks.

Sheesh! I feel like a goof for not writing sooner. But I only started doing my March/April correspondence now in yes May……. Right now got to holla out props to quite a few people. Props out to Nadine Kam, Jason Yadao, Catherine Toth, Paul Drewes, Jon Murakami, Cassandra Kam, Gordon Chan, Riki Otsuka, Mai & Marrisa from PMBQ Studios, Nic Iorio, Chris Macedonio, Kel Komatsubara & gang, My brother David D’agostino and his family, & Mom, Dad, & Sis most importantly. I thank all these people who helped me & the business. I greatly appreciate all and any help from you folks you folks have given me and still give! If I missed anyone I am really sorry but you folks are in my mind and spirit.

Well I went through 2 months like it has been a tornado touching down on a tornado….. “Huh?” Simple meaning is it has gone by too fast. Well with finals in college and end of school for the teens. Study hard all and do your best! See you after all the dust settles from this.
Til next time
Cheers! Sean

Next Stop Kawaii-Kon 2009 "I hope?"

Here's a photo from the 5th anniversary bash.

Hey all decided to post this up.
Well our 5th anniversary bash turnout was not the biggest from previous events but none the less it was really fun. It was great to see familiar faces and I am glad it looked like everyone enjoyed themselves. I felt it was an error on my part to coordinate an event that I did not realize that there were so many other events around town on the same day. Well I will be more alert to what’s going around town. Well the Cosplay contest was a small one but I can’t still believe Jon J. Murakami’s creation Gordon Rider won the contest…… Well you the people voted for the winner and I guess I have to concur…….. Well none the less the turnout was good. I just have to say thank you to all who attended. Seeing all of you folks makes this biz really enjoyable to be in!

Well we will be closed on April 10th, 11th, & 12th. We will be at the Kawaii-Kon 2009. Hawaii’s gala anime event. A lot of you were pretty surprised that we committed to attend the Kawaii Kon as a vendor. We had a bad experience the last time we were there 2 years ago. But none the less I gave them another chance. This year not too big but attitude going into this is “whatever” So hope to see all of you there who reads on here!
